Tonight Athens will rock with a sound akin to 1,000 amplifiers. Or, at least that’s what you’d think after reading all that’s been written about New York’s A Place To Bury Strangers. All evidence, both recorded an anecdotal, points toward this being true. It also points toward them being an excellent live band. Yeah, I can’t wait.
I flipped over the band several months back and when M.T. and I had the opportunity to bring them to town we jumped on it. It’s happening at The Caledonia Lounge tonight (Monday, April 14) and doors open at 10pm and things will start promptly at 10:30 PM. Believe me when I say things will start on time because I’ve already been “talked to” twice by the Caledonia about my hubris for booking four bands on a Monday night.
So the full bill is:
–A Place To Bury Strangers
–Twin Tigers (Athens, GA)
–All The Saints (Atlanta, GA)
-Everybody, Everybody (Athens)
$7.00 advance tickets via Ticket Alternative
or at Wuxtry in Athens (Call 706-369-9428)
$8.00 (21+) $9.00 (18-20) at the door.
