This Is How We Do It

This past Saturday, before a crowd of no more than 15 people, the best new (or, rather, new to me) Atlanta band I’ve heard this year blew me away. A total blend of post punk, poppy new wave and hip hop, they’re kind of all over the place but they make it work to a really thrilling effect.(And this is coming from someone who is, in general, bored to the teeth with hip hop). The tracks below do about half justice to the bands live show. They’re called Grand Prize Winners From Last Year and I can’t wait to bring them back to Athens. That’s all I’m gonna say right now.
